Colorado Cold

Way to go, Scotti

We drove. We flew. We drove. We saw cows. We saw a great wedding. We saw snow. We froze. We saw chickens, peacocks, horses. We saw lightening. We saw our Nitro...all this in 4 days. Wow. This is a picture of our Nitro. (The Nitro has been hit. I repeat, the Nitro has been hit.)
We originally dubbed the Nitro the Silver Bullet, as it is not much more than a tin can. Then, after traversing many many miles (and waiting for it to turn blue...beer joke) we almost started to like our little Nitro. Then, tragedy. (or as Allstate would say, a no-fault accident) Someone decided the Nitro needed a face drop - as opposed to a face lift - and smashed in our taillight and rear end. Thus...the Nitro has been hit...poor Silver Bullet. (poor "our" wallet)

Here we are at the wedding. It was a beautiful setting. Out among the Aspen and, thankfully, without rain. The evening was great. Temps in the low 40's. Roaring fire. We laughed at the fact that we came from almost the exact same climate, yet we dressed for summer. We are thinking we need to sue (get ready, Scott) WeatherChannel.com as it is very clear that 40 is not 60. We left all of our really comfy warm clothes in Ruidoso, and that just made for a cold weekend. 5 inches of snow at Eisenhower tunnel. Us, still with summer clothes. (we are only suing for the things we had to buy in Steamboat to stay warm...)
Steamboat is also just a great place. There is so much to do there and amazing scenery. We did the Alpine Slide...
(not competitive, are we????????)
I promised to get some of the scenery too....so here it comes...

Gracie starts 1st grade tomorrow.
She picked out her clothes and is so excited, yet is sad because they don't have as much recess as last year.
Katie-Anne picked her clothes out, too..."for pre-K, mom".
Evan, he picked his nose.
Hope you all have a great week. Good luck to all of you getting ready to go back to school.
And, one last picture for you...
