Last year, 'round this time, I had to write 45-35. Today, I am not ashamed to begin with 16-13. Hook 'Em, Texas Defense for the Heisman, still on the Road to the National Championship.
That aside, it is the end of Fall Break. This annual ritual in Marana/Tucson is actually a great break. We take one week off between the first and second grading quarters at school. The kids need a break. The teachers need a break. The parents need a break - but leaving the kids at school, and even the admin needs a break. So, the calendar turned to break, and off we went.
Last Saturday we decided I would load up the Pearl and Daddy and the kids would drive the desert, follow the Big Black Wall that separates us from Mexico, cross the sand dunes and mountains until we reached the salty air of Oceanside.

We laughed at how some of the pictures look very similar to ones in the past, yet the kids are getting so much bigger. And, faster if you ask the seagulls and sandpipers that had no chance against our crew.
The kids also rode bikes non-stop. It was funny how they felt such freedom and were able to run around and ride without the confines of our cozy home in the NW side.
Due to my ineptness or the internet or whatever the rest of the pictures are available through this link. Enjoy them...the kids had a great time with Nana and PopPop and Molly and Gidget (Katie-Anne would steal Gidget if nobody was looking). We had a much needed respite from the heat and needed some sea air to refresh us all.
Hope you all have a great week...until next time...US.
